• Boundaries: New River and its tributaries from Jacksonville to the New River Inlet. NO fishing in the Atlantic Ocean.

• Youth 15U · Kayak. Trophies at every place. Cash prizes paid by check at the awards ceremony.
• Register online at crumplermarina.com or at the marina counter. Entries are non-refundable. Every angler signs a liability waiver.

SPECIES, SIZE & BAG LIMITS

• Speckled trout (spotted seatrout) only. Weigh up to 3 legal trout per boat; scored on aggregate weight. Tie-breaker: heaviest single fish, then earliest check-in.
• NC limits apply at all times: 3 fish per person per day · 14–20″ slot · 1 of the 3 may be over 26″. Slot legality is decided by the weighmaster and is final.
• Live-release bonus: +0.25 lb per trout weighed alive and released in good condition (aerated livewell required).
• Mandatory harvest reporting: every harvested trout must be
• reported at deq.nc.gov/report-my-fish — instructions handed out at the scale.
• License: every angler 16+ carries a valid NC Coastal Recreational Fishing License — license.gooutdoorsnorthcarolina.com.

SPECIES, SIZE & BAG LIMITS

• Live bait AND artificial lures both permitted. Hook and line only · no trolling · one rod in use per angler.
• PFDs worn by all aboard during the morning release. All USCG-required safety gear aboard; operators born on/after 1-1-1988 need NC boating-safety certification.
• Camp Lejeune restricted sectors are OFF-LIMITS whenever closed (red flags by day / red lights by night). Entering a hot range =disqualification. Closures announced at the captains meeting and by text Saturday morning.
• Fish only from the registered boat, between the official start and lines-out. No fishing within 150 ft of another tournament boat that is anchored or staked. No alcohol or impairing substances aboard during fishing hours.
• Fish are weighed once, from the boat that caught them, on certified scales. Frozen, mutilated, or previously weighed fish are disqualified.
• Polygraph & protests: winners may be required to pass a polygraph within 72 hours. Protests in writing to the Tournament Director within 30 minutes of scales closing; $100 fee, refunded if upheld.
• Weather: GO / POSTPONE decision announced at the captains meeting from the NOAA forecast. Postponement date Sunday, Nov 8. If the state closes trout harvest before the event, the tournament converts to catch-photo-release and runs as scheduled.
